The bike was completely rebuilt from scratch. Modified 2002 Model RE Thunderbird (AVL Engine)

The bike was rebuilt by Mr. Joy of Joys Bullet Garage, the electrical and other work was done by Mr. Seby of SM Garage both based out of Thrissur, Kerala.

The modifications done on the bike are:

• Increased the size of the petrol tank. The standard tank had a capacity of 14 litres, the tank has been modified to hold 20 litres.
• The engine bearings have been imported. I was able to source original SKF bearings.
• We have altered the cylinder head for manual decompression (old generation bullets). This helps while kick starting.
• The original electrical system was AC and the current was generated from the coil, since that was not 100% dependable. The challenge of sourcing a coil in case of replacement made us to explore other options. We have now converted the bike to DC and kept the option of running on AC incase the battery dies out.
• The seat has been modified to a single seat and has been placed keeping in mind my riding position.
  Extra LED lights have been fitted on the crash guard.
• The bike was painted dark grey and the chrome parts have been powder coated. This helps in reducing rust.
• The handle bar has been changed, its a more broader one providing a better riding position and handling.
• The front tyre is upsized for better traction.
